How to slow mouse scroll speed in Windows

  1. Click on the Start button. Windows displays the Start menu.

  2. Choose Settings from the Start menu. Windows displays the Settings submenu.

  3. Click on Control Panel. Windows displays the Control Panel.

  4. Double-click on the Mouse applet. The Mouse Properties dialog box appears.

  5. Choose the Pointer Options tab

  6. Adjust the Pointer Speed setting so it is more toward the Slow (left) side.

  7. Click on OK

Another option I have seen for slowing down the mouse selection in MS Word is to hold the shift key while you are highlighting text.
